I love that when European hoteliers, and beds and breakfasts quote you a price, it includes all the taxes and fees and whatnot, rather than the lying American version that tries to make the price look smaller by leaving that stuff out.

I’ve always wondered why American hotels don’t just include the taxes and fees in the price instead of listing them all separately. It’s the same with cable and phone companies. They say “$79.99” but it ends up being “87.26” with all the extras. It’s stupid.
