“Say Good Night to Insomnia” is a pretty helpful book. It’s a drug-free program developed at Harvard Medical School that I thought had a good systematic approach to dealing with insomnia.

I’m one of those people who can lay down and fall asleep within 2 minutes and sleep for 8 hours. When insomniacs tell their stories they terrify me. I think I might simply die if I were no longer able to sleep. Heck I feel half dead if I don’t get at least 7 hours. I don’t know how you do it. You have my sympathy, now if only that would help you sleep!

Ahhh my sympathy – I too am a chronic insomniac. I take pills. I can sleep but only with pills. It’s awful. I don’t know how people just lay down in bed and go snooze. I cannot do that and i envy them. I hope you get some rest. It is so hard.

Absolutely! Nasty icky things. I bought some tees from a famous outfitter a year or so ago – the cannot be worn without a cami or a jacket. They don’t feel good. They don’t fit. There is no stretch to them at all. I have rebelled – I make my own.

Yet another example of how our punitive system celebrated their rampant cognitive dissonance whereby good parenting is supposedly valued but the decisions they make actually harm the children more. And worse, they actually attempt to justify harming the children because of their need to punish mothers by siding with fathers. It’s more important to punish the innocent to satisfy the insane need to “get even” with women who are not completely obedient to abusive men. Fuck the system.

Huh, I never noticed that with beets, but we don’t eat them much either. Greg used to love them, but then started insisting he hated them. I notice a sort of chartreuse color when I drink a juice with a lot of B-vitamins, though.

Coming by to thank you so much for the follow on my Lady Barefoot Baroness blog and read this post and …

I think you are a lovely person with m so much to give that people are not sure how to adjust I say this because this is who I am. I wear my heart on both my blouse sleeves and my pant legs. I am like this when it come to my feelings too.

I think it is just that I am older.

I would like to say that from my point of view of life is that those exceptions are really all you need, and that although there is nothing else like this kind of relationship they are are far and few. It is natural to want more of a good thing. But I do not see this as a bad thing..
I have acquaintances by the handful, even some I will have dinner with and drinks after, with But I confide little to these friends.
I then have those who are my absolute kindred brothers and sisters. These are the friends who know me like few do. They are the people in my life I share everything with and they return the trust.

.Something that stands out in my mind is that if every person I know was a trusted authentic best friend how insignificant the meanings behind this kind of relationship it would become. It would be just like with everyone else. Nothing unique and special which is how I see those closest to me my best friends.

Lovely post m I like it when they spur on discussions.
